Although mobile blogging has not really taken off as a usable service by the masses, I've used it with Google's Blogger.com service and it works pretty well -- although the process takes to long. Some things just need to remain PC-based I guess. So, it came as a surprise on how companies like Mdog.com are going to make it as a portal for mobile blogging in the wireless handset world. How do these companies advertise and gain customers? Deck placement is not enough here if you want mass acceptance I believe.
The neat deal with Mdog.com, though, is that it allows interoperability with major blog services including Blogger, Wordpress, Typepad, Xanga, AOL Blogs and Livejournal.
That right there will be why Mdog.com thrives most likely -- since it works with all the major blog services. Now, if it can get people using it on handsets, that is another battle.
