It looks like it'll go right down to the wire in the race to wrap up negotiations between the city of San Francisco and Google and EarthLink to shore up the contract to begin developing and deploying a citywide wireless network.
The city chose the two industry biggies earlier this year, but it's been one delay or one issue after another that has been making the process difficult to finalize. Whether its privacy concerns or the price of enhanced service or something else, it has slowed things down to a crawl.
Hopefully, all sides can come to an agreement by the end of the week and get this project moving forward.
