I've seen more and more people this year using their mobile phones to perform Google searches and other searches in increasing amounts. It's quite an interesting world when you see the baby boomer generation whipping out their wireless handsets to use the EDGE-enhanced or EV-DO-ness of newer mobile data networks to find things on the Internet as well as send picture messages to email addresses and other wireless customers -- regardless of carrier. So, have you increased the usage of the mobile web on your handset this year? If you've bought a newer, faster phone with EDGE (Cingular, T-Mobile) or EV-DO (Sprint, Verizon, Alltel), you've really got some decent speed in your pocket -- and it's only going to get faster in 2007. Cellphones? Hogwash -- we'll all be using mobile computers in our pockets soon -- ones that "make phone calls".
