Want Windows Mobile in a standard clamshell-type handset?

Pantech's new PN-820 is rumored to be coming to Verizon Wireless soon. This new flip-phone sports a normal profile for a clamshell phone but is loaded with Windows Mobile 5.0 and a regular complement of features like dual-band EV-DO, a "standard" 1.3 megapixel camera, expandable memory via miniSD, Bluetooth, and a 320x240 QVGA display.

With Cingular currently offering the HTC StarTrek Windows Mobile flip phone in a svelte, slim package, this new Pantech offering looks like a standard flip phone but is really a multimedia and computer powerhouse when you look at it. When will it arrive? Soon, most likely -- to Verizon users.
