Windows Mobile 5.0 coming to the new Microsoft Zune?

Our pals over at Engadget Mobile surmise that Microsoft may be adding phone capability to the just-announced Microsoft Zune digital media player. This comes as not really a surprise, since Microsoft itself has said that a Windows Mobile integration into the Zune "world" would be coming soon.

But, if the Zune digital media player has a great, intuitive and simple interface, wouldn't integrating the rather non-simplistic Windows Mobile interface seem kind of backward? I think so, but then, it would be hard to build a Windows Mobile unit that is simplistic in this day and age of advanced mobiles. That's why I've been looking for the Apple iPhone -- 'cause if anyone can do it, it would be Apple.
