Virgin Mobile #1 in prepaid quality J.D. Powers survey

With all prepaid mobile carriers (Boost Mobile, T-Mobile ToGo, etc.) and MVNO carriers as well, Virgin Mobile took the top spot for quality from a recent J.D. Powers survey. The survey asked 4,000 prepaid customers about these areas to rank the carriers and MVNOs: call quality, company image, cost of service, account management, initial activation, service plan options and customer service.

Looks like Virgin Mobile did exceedingly well on customer service and initial account activation. Coming in second was Verizon Wireless' prepaid offering, followed by T-Mobile ToGo's prepaid service, and then, Boost Mobile, Cingular GoPhone and Alltel Wireless' offering.
