The "warrantless wiretapping" program recently made famous by the President and the media has been halted by a Michigan judge, who also said that the ACLU could not go after the part of the program that stores data-mined records on the surveillance due to possible breach of data should those records become released. The judge said "it is further ordered and declared that the TSP violates the separation of powers doctrine, the Administrative Procedures Act, the First and Fourth Amendments to the Constitution, FISA and the wiretap statute".
What do you think? Was the "warrantless wiretapping" program illegal and unconstitutional?
