Cingular to offer "Made for Mobile" TV shows on your handset

With the mobile video and television space continuing to garner attention, Cingular has announced that it will be offering "Made of Mobile" television shows that are take-offs from popular television series and which are cut down and edited specifically for viewing on "Cingular Video" the EDGE-enhanced mobile television offering that's available to many Cingular subscribers.

For example, if you subscribe to the "HBO Mobile" channel on Cingular Video, you can receive mobile episodes of the HBO series "Entourage" on your cellphone screen. While I still do not get why customers want to watch movies and television on a tiny screen, this marketing blurb sums it up quite ~~nastily~~ nicely: "These episodes have been segmented into chapters so Cingular subscribers can relive their favorite moments and share them with their friends." Sure, got'cha. Heh.
