More mobile internet users than wired internet users in Japan

You know Japan has it goin' on when more people in that country use a wireless handset to access the internet rather than a PC. It's true -- there are over 69 million mobile internet users in Japan compared to 66 million internet users who use a standard PC.
While this trend has not been followed worldwide, this demonstrates the cultural difference between the Pacific Rim and North America, where we predominantly still use the PC for internet access. It also tells us why Japan has some of the coolest and neatest mobile technologies and handsets -- I'd want one too if it was my main lifeline to the internet.
