When the world's largest retailer comes a knockin' at your door, most companies tend to listen. At least, Verizon did. Wal-Mart will soon be offering postpaid Verizon Wireless phones and plans in U.S. stores in addition to carrying Verizon prepaid phones and plans. With Wal-Mart gaining market share in selling wireless phones and plans, it seems natural for Verizon to seek them out for a retail partnership, eh?With Cingular Wireless also offered at most Wal-Mart stores, this puts the top two U.S. carriers alongside each other in the most visited retail establishments in the nation. With Cingular now in Radio Shack -- and Verizon Wireless out at Radio Shack -- the second-largest wireless carrier is looking to more partners to continue subscriber growth.
