The Motorola Q - over a year late, but just about here

The now-infamous Motorola Q -- that RAZR-like RIM Blackberry pseudo-competitor with Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone Edition -- should be out any day now. We've heard this before, but we tend to believe it this time. Verizon Wireless has apparently -- but not surprisingly -- secured an exclusivity contract with Motorola to sell the device.

With the Q being so late to market, and with the newer Treo 700w and Blackberry models like the 8700c and 8700g already available, will the slimness factor be enough to make the Q sell well? It worked for the RAZR -- but that was a paradigm-shifting product -- and it may be working for the sibling SLVR phone, but will slim be in for the QWERTY smartphone market?
