RFID-blocking Wallets Available - No Foil Hats Yet

Who knows if a product like this will spawn a whole cottage industry - the fending off of RFID data from your person. DIFRWear.com, or Faraday Caged Apparel (we love that name) has started selling its RFID-blocking wallet that has layers of unobtrusive foil shielding - perfect for those that want to keep upcoming - or existing - ID cards and driver's licenses away from prying radio scanners.

Want even more protection? The RFID-blocking passport case is also available for those diplomats and foreign emissaries who wish to deduct their RFID signature from the airwaves. The passport case is only $18, while the wallet is $3 less at $15. So, for $33, you too can have total RFID immunity for all those important identification utensils.

2. Here's an easy way to make RFID cards normally invisible, but active when you want them to be.

Background: RFID tags are appearing everywhere. They can be embedded in plastic cards such as credit cards, id cards, passports and other places. There are privacy concerns about these tags being read without the owners knowledge.

Solution: "RFID Shield" lets you choose when your tags are readable.
