Just when you think ebay has some of the
sleekest shills on the planet, this guy shilled to the tune of billions possibly in defrauding the FCC of wireless
airwave auction revenue in the 1990s. Mario Gabelli, a high-falutin' money manager on Wall Street, appeared to have
some conflicts of interest while bidding for airwave auctions back in the 1990 days when the FCC was opening up the
markets for PCS services (what became VoiceStream/T-Mobile, Sprint PCS and more). So, the next time you want to buy some billion-dollar FCC licenses to run those spiffy new networks, make sure you actually intend on running a business with what you may win, and that you're not simply trying to shill up the asking price. Not good.

1. The charges are false and he will be acquitted. After studing all spects of the case, the government will not prevail.
