To help kick start its new MVNO operations, Amp'd Mobile is
giving away free unlimited minutes for three months to customers who subscribe to its 20-channel mobile television plan
at $15/month. This is a rather interesting way - but not that original - to get customers watching mobile television,
and with the hopes that they will get "hooked" after three months and continue the $15/month subscription.
Although this is not a catch, the minimum regular calling plan amount to receive access to this promotion is $50/month. Herein lies the question - Amp'd seems targeted to the under-25 crowd, and are these people spending $50/month on wireless bills? Given the prioritization of life's expenditures for the under-25 folks, who seel wireless communication above most other expenses, possibly so.
