Study Indicates Folks Not Exactly Sure How They Access Wireless Web

Laptop owners in London were asked how they accessed the Internet while on the go, and most of them weren't sure how exactly they did access the Web. According to Tatara Systems, out of over 100 people surveyed, 75% used their laptop at a public hotspot, 14% used a BlackBerry, 10% used a PDA at a public hotspot, and 2% used a laptop with a 3G connection. In addition, the study indicated that most of these users really didn't know what the differences were between 3G, GRPS, and WiFi.

In other words, it looks like there is a lot of room for end-user education so that folks know what type of wireless platform they should used or their needs.
